Interested in Independent UK Film Making? You may want to check out these websites we found useful.

Development sites:

Euroscript, The script development company originally funded by the EU's MEDIA II.

Scriptshop, Kevin Smith does a great job in delivering a site that promotes good scripts available for production.

ScriptWriter Magazine, Great source for the Writer.

Shooting People, The UK's popular newsgroup with daily posting. They now charge for membership and one could argue they are moving away from their roots in the guerilla film making scene, but we still feel they are a must for the independent!

Triggerstreet.com, Not UK centric, but useful as part of a development tool or a showcase for finished work. You can post your scripts, shorts, voice sale pitches and get peer feedback. You can listen to or see other people's work to get ideas too. It is all free, but you have to register and make sure you read the small print regarding their option on any work posted!

UK Film Talk, Good UK forum for getting any question answered for pre production and production. I have had some good help using them.

Production sites:

Future Movies UK, UK site offering movie reviews and filmmaking editorial.

Hollywood Film Institute, America's number 1 independent film school. Dov is the king!

Living Spirit Pictures Ltd, OK, it is true they make UK based films (e.g. Urban Ghost Story), but what they are really famous for is developing the UK centric Guerilla Film Makers Handbook and their education courses (e.g. Chris Jones Master class). Really useful.

London Pictures No-budget Film Resource Page, Excellent resources for the no-budget Film Producer (example budgets, contracts, promotional material examples, etc.). All Free!

Netribution, Web film magazine with local news stories, reviews and newsletter.

New Producers Alliance, Accessible, affordable and essential training for filmmakers. We have been members for the last four years.

Raindance, Dedicated to fostering and promoting independent film in the UK. Good Stuff!
